Outdoor Active

Japan is known for making lots of different types of cars. So since the kids don’t drive cars yet (!) go for a bike/scooter ride.

Choose 2-3 20-30 minute activities from the selection below:

Hand Drawing

Colour the Flag

Draw and colour the flag of Japan.

Write the country name in English (and your kid's second language if relevant).

Switch up the material each day - paper, cardboard - as well as the size.

DIY Indoor Volcano

Japan has over 100 active volcanoes, more than almost any other country and accounts alone for about 10 % of all active volcanoes in the world. Here is an easy clip on how to make one at home that the kids will love! www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgqebizvwNk

  • Baking soda

  • Salt

  • Jar

  • Birthday party hat (or make your own cardboard cone)

  • Dish soap

  • Vinegar

  • Food colouring (optional)

Pre-prepare rice

Make sure you have bought all the ingredients in advance

Add your kids favourites. Keep it simple. Mine like tuna+mayo, and fresh salmon, for eg.
